Potter (Grace, not Henry) struggling with Neil Young on Letterman

Nocturnals Grace Potter and his is already a bit of time to move on the edge of the star system. It seems that lately we are moving, on the other hand offer a rock-blues great bill which, although lacking in originality, is at the top of today's performance like that. Billboard is beginning to reward the band with high positions in the standings. In short, the good (and not bad eh) Grace is emerging slowly with merit.

In this case the girl is accompanied by enough high-sounding names to give to posterity a splendid performance of Cortez the Killer, the famous song of the best Neil Young.

She cries a little but the interpretation is still strong and level, nothing surprising for those who already knew her.

The two things that strike me, however, are two more:

- madonna as there is the trumpet in this piece, how to give that extra touch of epic quality that goes in perfect sync with the pathos of the song.

- really the only fish out of water but is very good (but boring here) Joe Satriani, star of the modern guitar, but frankly unable to get into the spirit of the song. Are these cases where you know that the technique is not enough to offset the monstrous heart. And the solos In the Younger as "primitive" compared to Satriani, are dramatically better and more functional piece. I have this indelible version on Live Rust, for example.
